Operational Intelligence // Berlin

Make your business easier to run.

Practical operational systems for owner-managed businesses. We reduce repetitive administrative work, make company knowledge accessible and use AI where it creates practical value.

AI prepares. Humans decide.

// 01. Operational Friction

The problem is rarely a lack of software.

01

Too much time goes into administration.

Email, documents, meetings and routine coordination consume time that should go into the actual business.

02

Quotations and follow-ups take too long.

Information is gathered manually, while customer inquiries and commercial opportunities can remain unattended.

03

Important knowledge is difficult to access.

Critical information is distributed across files, inboxes, documentation and individual employees.

04

The owner becomes the operating system.

Too many decisions, exceptions and unresolved tasks ultimately require the managing director personally.

// 02. Solution Modules

Defined scope. Measurable value.

Use existing business systems. Add intelligence where it creates measurable value.

sequence and attention
01 / FLOW

FLOW

One process. Less work.

We redesign and intelligently support one clearly defined, repetitive business process—the pragmatic entry point for implementation.

  • Inquiry → structured information → response draft
  • Inquiry → quotation preparation → approval → follow-up
  • Meeting → summary → tasks → follow-up
  • Document → extraction → classification → responsible person
02 / OFFICE

OFFICE

Less administration. More business.

An AI-supported operational layer around the office environment your company already uses.

  • Email and correspondence drafts
  • Document processing and task extraction
  • Meeting summaries and follow-up support
  • Routine administrative workflows

Existing tools remain in place wherever reasonable.

03 / KNOW

KNOW

Your company knowledge, accessible.

We make approved company knowledge searchable and usable while preserving its connection to the original sources.

  • Internal documentation and procedures
  • Contracts and approved files
  • Product and project information
  • Source-grounded answers where technically possible
04 / OWNER

OWNER

See what needs your attention.

An operational intelligence layer designed around the priorities of owners and managing directors.

  • Unanswered inquiries and quotations awaiting follow-up
  • Important customer issues and supplier delays
  • Overdue actions and upcoming meetings
  • Relevant historical context

The practical question: What needs my attention today?

// 03. Implementation Method

Pragmatic by design.

  1. 01

    Understand

We examine the actual workflow, not an abstract AI use case.

  2. 02

    Design

We identify where intelligence or automation can remove friction without removing necessary human judgment.

  3. 03

    Implement

We build around the company's existing systems wherever practical.

  4. 04

    Measure

We evaluate workload, response times, errors and operational blind spots.

  5. 05

    Improve

Useful systems can grow gradually without a large transformation project upfront.

// 06. FAQ

Practical questions.

01Do I need to start with an Operational Review?

No. The Operational Review is the recommended starting point when the underlying problem or priority is not yet sufficiently clear.

If you already have a well-defined workflow that needs to be redesigned and implemented, you may qualify directly for a Workflow Implementation. Broader operational challenges may also be scoped directly as an Operational System engagement.

02What happens after I book an Operational Review?

You complete a short questionnaire before the session so Kernel can understand the business context and prepare appropriately.

The engagement includes a 90-minute working session, Kernel's analysis, a concise Operational Review, and a 30-minute findings call.

The Review is a standalone engagement. There is no obligation to commission further work.

03What does “from €2,900” or “from €7,500” mean?

These engagements vary according to operational complexity, scope, existing systems and implementation requirements.

The displayed price is the starting investment. Kernel defines the scope and total price with you before implementation begins.

No implementation work begins without an agreed scope and price.

04Will you replace the tools and systems we already use?

Not by default.

Kernel works with your existing systems where they are fit for purpose. New tools, integrations or automation are introduced only when they materially improve the operation.

Technology follows the workflow — not the other way around.

05Is this an AI consulting service?

No.

Kernel uses AI where it provides a practical operational advantage, but AI is not the product.

The objective is to improve how work, information and decisions move through the business. Depending on the problem, the right solution may involve process redesign, clearer responsibilities, better information structures, automation, AI — or a combination of them.

AI prepares. Humans decide.

06What kinds of businesses are these engagements designed for?

Operational Intelligence is particularly relevant to owner-led and management-led businesses where growth has created increasing operational complexity.

Typical signs include recurring manual coordination, information spread across different tools, excessive management follow-up, unclear workflows, repeated administrative work, or important operational knowledge remaining with individual people.

The engagement is determined by the operational problem rather than by company size alone.

07What happens if the Operational Review identifies work that Kernel should implement?

You decide whether to proceed.

If a qualifying Workflow Implementation is commissioned within 30 days of the Operational Review, €400 of the Review fee is credited toward the implementation.

There is no obligation to continue beyond the Review.

// A practical first step

Find where work can become lighter.

Begin with one business area and up to two related workflows. Keep human judgment where it matters. Extend only what proves useful.
